A SEASON OF CHANGES

Fall is here. A season of changes. I love, love, love this time of year! It makes me feel refreshed-like I need to do some changing as well. So I have. As part of this change, I've decided to start blogging again. During church last week, Father's homily was about how important it is to be healthy spiritually, mentally, and physically. I was looking for change, and that homily just spoke to me. We all need change at some point of our lives, and I'm happy to report my time has come!

I started the gym today! Funny how when you were younger exercise came so much easier! It was like you could go on forever! Yeah, not now! Maybe it's the Starbuck runs, or the extra "tastes" of when I make dinner, or the two kids I popped out, or the (insert excuse here).....

Anyhow, here's my first attempt at exercise:

20 minutes elliptical:

36 minutes to run 2 miles?!? Oh, the shame...

How sweet it is to be loved by.....

Uncle Darryl!!! Darryl is Marlin's best friend and is Zoe's Godfather. Five years ago when we were making a decision on who we wanted to baptize Zoe, Darryl and my friend Rachel immediately came to mind. We wanted someone that we knew would always be there for her, no matter what she needed. Darryl was perfect. He has always been there for her, has always been there for us, and has always looked out for Ray's best intentions. I'm happy to call him a friend.

This past week, Zoe's awesome teacher, Mrs. Jure, has been discussing "Community Helpers" and of course, police officers fall into that category. Immediately, Zoe told her class how her uncle Darryl was a police officer (actually a juvenile probation officer). I asked Zoe if she would like Darryl to come into her class, and she nodded her head with a huge smile on her face. Mrs. Jure thought the idea was great, and Marlin asked Darryl if he'd be willing to come. Darryl of course, said yes, and visited Zoe's classroom today! Not only did he visit, but he brought along Cris Albanese, the gorgeous Deputy DA. Thanks, Cris! You made the visit extra special!!!

Darryl- thank you so much for being such a big part in our lives. We're truly blessed to have you as a friend!!

Sex and the City- |Movie!|

Ok, don't hate me or think I'm one of those people, but I have to post this!! Some people love Lost, I love Sex and the City!! When I first found out a few months ago that there was a movie in production, I was super excited! The release date is still 3 months away, but I've already got a babysitter (thanks to my amazing sister!) and I plan to wear my Manolo Blahnik's to the movie!! Silly, I know! But I just can't help it!

Christina and Co-|Matrimony|

Christina and Co had a beautiful wedding filled with beautiful traditions! They started their day with a Tea Ceremony (one of my FAVORITE traditions), then had a lovely ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church! While Marlin was shooting away, I focused on the details:

Christina and Co- you are both gorgeous inside and out! We wish you continued "double happiness" for years to come!

Winter break is over!

Today was officially the last day of Ray and Zoe's winter break. I'm so sad to have them going back to school!! As you may know, spending time with our kiddos is super important to Marlin and I so we literally spent every single day with them! Well, except when we went out on ONE date!! :) Here's a recap of some of our days taken with my point & shoot camera! Excuse the poor quality!!

It started with a letter to Santa, thanking him for presents!

Christmas morning (5am to be exact) at the Munoz home! Guess who was lucky enough to clean it all up?!?

We bowled!

Marlin gets a kiss from my Daddy!

Marlin and I had some quality time!
