Uncle Darryl!!! Darryl is Marlin's best friend and is Zoe's Godfather. Five years ago when we were making a decision on who we wanted to baptize Zoe, Darryl and my friend Rachel immediately came to mind. We wanted someone that we knew would always be there for her, no matter what she needed. Darryl was
perfect. He has always been there for her, has always been there for us, and has always looked out for Ray's best intentions. I'm happy to call him a friend.
This past week, Zoe's awesome teacher, Mrs. Jure, has been discussing "Community Helpers" and of course, police officers fall into that category. Immediately, Zoe told her class how her uncle Darryl was a police officer (actually a juvenile probation officer). I asked Zoe if she would like Darryl to come into her class, and she nodded her head with a huge smile on her face. Mrs. Jure thought the idea was great, and Marlin asked Darryl if he'd be willing to come. Darryl of course, said yes, and visited Zoe's classroom today! Not only did he visit, but he brought along Cris Albanese, the gorgeous Deputy DA. Thanks, Cris! You made the visit extra special!!!
